The Greening of the Garden

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is celebrating the arrival of spring with the 23rd annual Greening of the Garden ceremony. Enjoy food, delightful jazz music, and, of course, the stunning backdrop of this incredible garden! All proceeds from this event will go to support the educational programs and services that the garden provides, such as the workshops, classes, and school visits that focus on horticulture and conservation. The Greening of the Garden takes place on Friday, May 18, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Hound of the Baskervilles
If you love comedy and Sherlock Holmes, then you have to check out this comedic take on The Hound of the Baskervilles. Put on by Fayetteville-based regional professional theater TheaterSquared as the finale to their twelfth season, The Hound of the Baskervilles is a clever re-imagining of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tale, set in 19th-century England. Fans of the supersmart detective and his loyal companion will adore the witty, charming adaptation of a classic. The show runs from April 25th-May 27th, and it’s directed by Mark Shanahan.

Memorial Day Weekend Camping Adventure
This Memorial Day Weekend, why don’t you get out of town for a few days? Arkansas is a great place to go camping, and if you love sleeping under the stars, then you’re in luck. Eureka Springs has an excellent campground. Grab a tent and your swimsuit and head on over to camp out and spend the next morning swimming in the pool! If you’d like to try somewhere a little different, then head over to Devil’s Den.
This beautiful state park has horse trails, hiking trails, swimming, and well-maintained campsites. If that doesn’t work, then Blanchard Springs also boasts an impressive campground, with special proximity to the Blanchard Springs Cavern for an underground adventure.
