Three Reasons to Love the Acura TLX
Redesigned Acura TLX Delivers a Winning Combination
The midsize luxury sedan market is highly competitive and Acura has stepped up its game, big time. The Acura TLX has been refreshed for the 2018 model year with dramatic changes to styling, state-of-the-art technology, and an exciting new model, the A-Spec. The TLX’s 206 horsepower (HP) 2.4-liter inline four and 290 HP 3.5-liter V6 engines return, with more refined tuning for the V6.
Stunning New Exterior Design
The 2018 TLX ushers in a new era, incorporating the Acura Precision Concept’s exterior design language. The front fascia receives a well-deserved facelift, with a new grille and Acura’s signature 5-lamp Jewel Eye LED headlamps, flowing into a tightly drawn hood and fenders. The previous model’s prominent beak is gone and the new design draws raves.
The 2018 Acura TLX’s interior features a host of technological improvements, including a dual-screen user interface complemented by a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. AcuraWatch safety technology is standard on all models. The TLX V6 Advance Package adds wireless device charging, a surround view camera system, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats.
New TLX V6 A-Spec Model
The brand new TLX A-Spec’s dramatic styling set it apart from the crowd, while tweaks to handling deliver the difference on twisty roads. The menacing front fascia features a matte-black diamond pentagon grille accented by dark chrome surround, dark-tinted Jewel Eye headlamps, and round LED fog lamps. Shark Gray 19-inch alloy wheels and flared side sills set off the flank. The tail is accented by a gloss black rear spoiler, blacked out tail lamps, and a handsome diffuser. The interior benefits from a host of embellishments, including aggressively bolstered bucket seats, finished with Alcantara inserts.
