This year, Acura is unveiling its first EV model - the ZDX. This all-electric SUV will use General Motors' Ultium platform and share similarities to the Cadillac Lyriq. Trims
The 2024 Acura ZDX comes in four trim levels:
A-Spec RWD
Starting at $64,500
As the base model, the A-Spec RWS is equipped with a single motor. There are also amenities like Milano leather-trimmed seats, 12-way front power seats, an 18-speaker sound system, and an 11.3-inch touchscreen.
A-Spec AWD
Starting at $68,500
Building on the A-Spec RWD, the AWD adds a second electric motor for more horsepower. There are also roof rails for better storage.
Type S
Starting at $73,500
The Type S is a mid-level trim that is a more performance-based model. An adaptive damper system is installed for a smoother ride. The Brembo® front 6-piston braking system lets you stop on a dime. And the horsepower has increased to 500. Additionally, there are features like 16-way Power seats and a digital rear-view mirror.
Type S Perf. Wheel & Tire
Starting at $74,500
The Type S Perf. adds to the Type S design with summer-grade tires instead of all-season. Otherwise, no changes are made to the model.
Design
At first glance, the Acura ZDX looks like a standard SUV. But step inside the cabin, and Fort Smit drivers will find a unique design that shares GM and Acura elements. The window switches and climate controls are inspired by GM. But the fully retractable sunroof and illuminated grille are all Acura.
Performance
There are three powertrains available for the ZDX. The entry-level model has a single motor, which produces 342 horsepower, and has rear-wheel drive. A second motor is optional on that model, increasing horsepower to 459 hp and adding all-wheel drive. The two highest trims, the Type S and Type S Perf., come standard with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. With this setup Rogers, AR drivers will reach combined 500 horsepower.
Charging & Range
By using GM's Ultium battery technology and a 102.0-kWh battery pack, the ZDX can average 325 miles of range. Upgrade to the Type S, and the range dips to 288 miles. When at a DC fast charger, the ZDX can charge at rates as high as 190 kW. Which can add 81 miles of range to the single motor in just 10 minutes. You can get 79 miles in 10 minutes with the dual motor setup.
Technology
Along with a distinctive cabin design, the ZDX also features a robust list of technology. An 11.0-inch gauge cluster is in front of the steering wheel, while an 11.3-inch touchscreen sits in the center dashboard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. Google's Android Automotive in-vehicle hardware features Google Maps as the default. And all ZDX models feature a Bang & Olufsen stereo system featuring 14 speakers.
Safety Features
To keep Bentonville drivers safe, Acura has added a host of driver-assistance features to the ZDX. Standard features include blind-spot monitoring and automated emergency braking.
